History / Description: The octagonal tray is one of the largest in Basel. The well column, from which rises a handsome gargoyle, is crowned by bud. The fountain was previously at Holbein Place, hence the name "New Lyss Fountain", where he had to give a Strassenkorrektion 1938. In 1970 he made his comeback at the current location to me the new name "Rümelin well".
Special: This area is mainly characterized by many small shops.
