History / Description: On the water trough are shown dancing figures. The water flows out of the mouth of a stone girl's head, which is attached directly to the wall of the orphanage. 
Special: From here you can continue to walk on the Rhine promenade in either direction Tinguely Museum or the triangle.

History / Description: The fountain made of stone leans directly to the small building. The gargoyle protruding from the wall and is decorated with a bronze mold. 
Special: In the Lange Erlen it has still a floodplain forest, which is used for drinking water treatment. The forest is also a popular recreation area, which is supplemented by the zoo "Lange Erlen". Near the main entrance, it also has a restaurant and a bandstand, where making music from time to time.

History / Description: The reliefs on the fountain show a tree with a pair of shoes among them, a girl with pigtails, which is feeding the geese, two children sitting on a horse and a man with a full sack. On the edge of the fountain is a gargoyle.

Special: The stop "Gellertstrasse" the bus line 41 is close to the fountain. If the operation of this line is set, a longer walk from the bus stop "Karl Barth-Platz" station, take tram 14 is necessary.

Andreas Heusler-Strasse 41

History / Description During the economic crisis of the thirties the work centimes has been introduced. From each francs reward a black horse was diverted to the economy - mainly structural objects - moving again. Within ten years, more than 40 million francs came together. In the 1950s, old apartments were renovated with the leftover capital of the labor Cent Foundation. The bronze figure (fish-man) is at the center of the bronze shell and shows in the open right hand, a piece of money (just the labor centimes). Today's business school was built in 1943 with the help of the labor Cent Foundation. The well was therefore created as a reminder of this measure before this school.

History / Description: The Swan cast iron stands with folded wings and neck retracted cowering on the edge of the well. The trough is made from limestone, has an octagonal shape. 

Special: In Basel, there are a total of three wells called the "Swan Fountain" (well guide references: 113 / 114 ).

History / Description: The Altrheinweg fountain in the shape of a vase. The gargoyles projecting from a column that is lovingly finished up.

Special: The Rhine flows through here behind the big warehouses. One walks 600 meters to the inner city, so you can reach the beautiful and seemingly endless Rhine promenade. 

Kronenplatz

History / Description: The water trough is octagonal and from the column stands a gargoyle. The fountain stands on the old town square in Kleinhueningen. Already in the year 828 the village "Kleinhueningen" is mentioned. In 1908 this district, which was characterised in recent centuries mainly by fishing, "incorporated" in the city of Basel. Today a large part of this area is occupied by industry.

Special: Nearby is the "triangle". This is a metal pylon, which is to highlight the intersection between the Swiss, German and French border. There you have the opportunity to take in some port air.

History / Description: The fountain has an octagonal trough. From the fountain column extends a gargoyle. The park was built on the site of the former cemetery "Horburg". Either this name is derived "Horenberg" by the Count of Homburg or from the corridor name.

Special: The Horburgpark invites you to linger.

History / Description: The sculpture of cast iron shows a child with a young alligator on a boulder. The young alligator from its mouth spews the water, boldly held by the child with the hand. 
Special: In the 1860s, cast iron figures were very common and it is believed that the creators of these works were therefore not given too much attention.

History / Description: The bronze sculpture shows a figure wearing on her head a fish. The fountain stone trough is rectangular. The Gotthelf square where the fountain stands was created in 1900.

History / Description: At the bottom of the fountain column has four niches that are occupied with music-making figures. In the middle crouching figures are attached. The column is surmounted by a lion, the emblem of the "Society for the Rebhaus" held in his paws. For this reason, the fountain is now called "Rebhaus Fountain". Before this in 1863 moved to its current location, the lion held the "Basel shield" in his paws. The original figure was released in 1883 to the Historical Museum. The first nachgehauene lion in 1900 and the second in 1968 destroyed by acts of vandalism.

Special: In the Renaissance period (1350 - 1600) armed representatives of the City or a guild or sometimes heraldic animals were on the well heads.

Utengasse

History / Description: The stone sculpture called "Faun with animals." It stands on a raised rectangular wall. The building and the fountains have an identical color. Already in 1284 (!) has received its present name, the Utengasse.
