History / Description: The well trough is rectangular. On the pillar it has a triangular gable on which an acorn stands. The gargoyle juts out from the middle of the well column. The fountain is located in the courtyard of "Schöne Hus". This house is probably the oldest surviving residential building in Basel. Based on structural findings, it is believed that the house was built in the second quarter of the 13th century.
Special: The fountain can only be visited during working days during the day.

Solitude Prommenade

History / Description: The water trough, whose side walls are decorated with various patterns, has a somewhat unusual form. The fountain column, from which protrudes a gargoyle is a plate on which a ball is completed. The fountain was previously in an estate on the Riehenstrasse.
Special: In Solitude Park is a large children's playground. At this park borders the generous Paul Sacher-Anlage. A few meters away is the world-famous Tinguely Museum.

History / Description: In both Gebäudeeinbuchtungen it has one of each of wells. The fountain column, from which rises an elaborate gargoyles on two sides, rounded finished top.

Sevogelplatz

History / Description: The three-trough fountain has three ornate, abutting pool. The column of the fountain is decorated with various patterns and is surmounted by a bud. The fountain was due to complaints of the people who were in the 1870s and 1880s with the former series well not happy and was chosen from a competition of 30 proposals.
Special: According to the book "Basel fountains of ancient and modern times" this fountain has an annual water consumption of 5'766 cubic meters.
