History / Description: The Elizabeth Fountain has two pools and fountains of the floor has three parts. The stone sculpture shows the St. Elizabeth (she lived from 1207 -. 1231 and aspired to voluntary poverty, she was canonized four years after her death and is considered the "patron saint of beggars.") With a pot of water and a loaf of bread in the hand. Under Elizabeth is a basilisk, which holds a Basler coat of arms. At the same height on the other hand, it has two bronze swans, flowing from their beaks the water. The lower tray receives its water as a dolphin-shaped with two sinks.
Special: A hundred meters from here is the Elizabeth Church, which was built between 1857 and 1864.
