History / Description: In 1980 there were between Basel and Zurich exchanges typical of a city fountain. Basel, Zurich received a emergency water-fountain, here renamed the "Fountain of Zurich" Zurich and in return, a basilisk Fountain, who is now at the Zurich valley road.
Special: The Fountain stands at the gate of the zoo, which opened in 1884 and has around 3000 animals in an area of 6500 square meters. Opening times: Summer 08:00 - 18:00 clock and winter 08:00 - 17:30 clock.
